Quality and Environmental Policy Statement

V-M Orthotics Ltd is committed to:
• Operating an Integrated Management System (IMS) in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015, and taking into account the additional requirements of ISO 13485.
• Ensuring that customer, statutory and regulatory requirements are determined, understood and consistently met.
• Ensure that we minimise the risk of pollution in all its forms as far as possible through all our activities
• Ensuring that the risks and opportunities that can affect conformity of products and services, as well as the ability to enhance customer satisfaction, are identified and addressed and that the focus on customer satisfaction is maintained throughout all our operations.

V-M Orthotics Ltd  will:
• Take accountability for the effectiveness of the IMS
• Ensure that the quality and environmental policy and objectives established for the IMS are compatible with the context and strategic direction of the Company
• Ensure that these objectives are maintained as part of IMS internal auditing, monitoring and management review processes in order to ensure that the Company operates efficiently and effectively, and meets the needs of customers and other stakeholders
• Promote the adoption of a process approach and risk-based thinking in all our activities
• Communicate the importance of effective quality and environmental management and of conforming to IMS requirements to all employees
• Recognise that people are the strength of the business and that a key focus must be the retention and growth of the skills and knowledge within the business as necessary and appropriate to address the changing needs of the customer base
• Ensure that resources are available to enable us to achieve our objectives and targets
• Ensure that we continue to seek and respond to the opinions and wishes of our customers and other stakeholders

This policy will be reviewed annually and where deemed necessary will be amended and re-issued

Quality and Environmental Objectives:
The measurable objectives for the business will be agreed and documented at the annual Management Review Meeting. When considering and agreeing the objectives, we will take the following factors into account, always bearing in mind the tone and direction of the business as set out above:
– The needs and expectations of stakeholders
– The strategy and business plan of the company
– The risk and opportunity review of the business
– The timescales required
– The resource required to achieve the objectives

Organisation Roles, Responsibilities and Authority
Diagram 2 is an organisational chart showing the roles of the current V-M Orthotics team. Together with Diagram 1, it sets out the structure of the business.
The CEO and wider Board of Directors of DARCO International will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the context within which the business operates.
The management team (in this case the Sales & Marketing Director and the Operations Director) will be responsible for setting the direction and goals for the business, and for demonstrating effective leadership of the business in pursuit of its agreed goals and objectives. The management team is responsible for the quality policy and for establishing a framework for IMS review, and will work with the wider team to do this.
The Quality and Environmental Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the development, operation and administration of the Integrated Management System (IMS), working with other members of the wider team who contribute to the delivery of this responsibility. The Operations Director fulfils this role for V-M Orthotics Ltd.
