Description

The interim treatment of patients who have undergone minor amputations always represents a challenge for the technician or physician. For this reason, the Body Armor® Pro Term has been designed & manufactured by DARCO as a ready-made treatment option. Designed to be worn for approximately 10 weeks following an amputation to allow the foot stump to completely heal during this time. Thereafter, a conventional, custom-made shoe is worn.

The wedge-shaped outsole and insole in dorsal extension ensure rear weight-bearing. The stable, ankle-spanning shaft stabilises the upper & lower ankle and prevents deformation of the stump. The blue inlay with integrated pump compresses & this maintains the shape of the stump.

The Body Armor® Pro Term represents conservative treatment which can be manually adapted, thus providing customised support to meet individual patient needs.

Indications:

  • Diabetic foot syndrome
  • PAOD (peripheral arterial occlusive disease)
  • Used postoperatively for treatment following Chopart  or Lisfranc amputation
